WAINFLEET 2009
Well it was all go for team156 in there 1st competative meeting of the season, and boy didnt they get off to the best start possible. The first heat saw Allan & Jeni finish in 2nd place after a great race with Nick & Abi Radley, Heat 2 And team 156 made it there race straight from the tapes with a fantastic win beating the very pacey Gary Southgate. On to the last heat and it saw Allan & Jeni finish in 3rd place, after leading early on a few mistakes let through Nick & Abi and Scott & Tash. So onto the Final and this was the 1 that all crews on the line wanted, it was all down to this last race to see who would be kings of wainfleet, On the line were team 156 and Gary Southgate who had been showing great speed all afternoon, former British champion and last years british number 3 Nick Radley, 5 times and Current British champion Shaun Harvey, and British number 2 last year Scott Dunn, So it was always going to be a close faught race, tapes up and team156 make a great start firing off the line to lead going into the first bend which is where they stayed to cross the finish line for the victory, pressured all the way by Scott and Tash then only just on the last bend Nick and Abi taking 3rd place away from Gary Southgate, Shaun and Danny coming home in 5th with Richard Hollingdale in 6th place.
